Stained Glass Technique

Morning everyone, yesterday I held a class at Whitminster where we created 3 cards so today I thought I would share one of them with you.

One of the pillow gifts I received at the Incentive Trip to Madeira earlier this year was a stamp set called "Lighthearted Leaves" and I have had plenty of use from it since!

I love the patterns on the leaves, great for colouring in, and also we have a set of Framelit dies to cut them out so no tricky handcutting which makes lots more crafting time!

Onto my card.....

We stamped a large leaf in Craft White Ink onto Vellum Cardstock,
yes I know, more vellum usage!!  Next we dipped the stamped leaf into White Embossing Powder and set with the Heat Tool.

The next step is to take a couple of our Stampin' Marker Pens and colour from the reverse side of the stamped image, it gives you a lovely Stained Glass Window effect, beautiful

I added my leaf using a Glue Dot at the base of the leaf then stamped some greetings from the same stamp set.

I've also used another set called "Bordering Blooms" to create a little border of leaves along the bottom of my Whisper White layer.

My colour combo is

Soft Sky
Soft Suede
Pear Pizzazz

Here's a closer look at the beautiful leaf, it is just so pretty!
