More Birthday Blooms

Following on from my Saturday Class last month, here's another project we created, a card with a different fold.

You can see in the next picture how it looks inside, I stamped with the Birthday Blooms images to make it pretty inside.

Then we added a Belly Band to act as a closure and which adds that extra touch and makes it appear so much more special.

All Day Event - Birthday Blooms

Last Saturday I ran my first All Day crafting event of 2016, it's been a while since my last one and it was a lovely day with lovely people!

 

We created several projects throughout the day, enjoyed light refreshments and lunch and of course everyone had lots of goodies to take away with them.

 

Here is one of the projects we created, the layout of this card came from one created by a German demonstrator, Steffi Helmschrott, I just changed the stamps and colours to make it my own.

 

I included the Birthday Blooms stamp set with this class and the greeting is also part of this set, along with that cute little cluster of dots, little sprinkles, love it!

 

 

There was quite a bit of hand cutting involved throughout the day, but worth the effort, this flower is just so beautiful no matter how you stamp/colour it!

 

For this card we stamped the image in Versamark ink onto Shimmery White cardstock, then dipped into White Embossing Powder and heated.  We watercoloured with the Aqua Painters using ink from the lid of the ink pad.

 

We used Blushing Bride Ink for the watercolouring, applying more in areas to shade once it had dried

 

We used the Chalk Talk framelits dies to get the lovely decorative edge on the "Dear Friend" panel

 

The gorgeous leaves are from the Botanical Builder Framelits dies

 On Saturday I held my first all day event for 2016, on these days we make a variety of projects, this time using brand new products from the Spring/Summer Catalogue.  Lunch is included as part of the day and we always have a fun time.

I will share pictures of the projects later as I need to wait for some good light to take some pictures, something I am struggling with lately and maybe I should think about creating my own light box!

But for now, here's a picture of the table treats I created for everyone, a Hot Chocolate Cup filled with Marshmallows and a Chocolate stirrer, just add hot milk and voila!
