Birthday Candles

Another way of using this stamp set is to create cute candles with the "block" images, rather than layering them up to form a cake!

 

I've used some subtle colours here

 

Blushing Bride

Crumb Cake

So Saffron

 

I've teamed them with Very Vanilla to give a softer look but if you used some nice bright colours this would make a great card for the younger generation.

 

 

I used the Decorative Dots embossing folder on the vanilla layer to add some texture.

 

The greeting is part of the same set

 

I stamped each candle base and cut it out with scissors as I didn't want the whole length of the images, you could of course just mask them out with a Post it Note!

Build a Birthday

Not the best of pictures here today, but hopefully next month I will be going on a Camera Course with my good friend Louise to learn how to use my camera properly so fingers crossed there should be some improvements!

 

My card uses a new stamp set called

 

"Build a Birthday"

 

 

This is a Photopolymer stamp set and it's priced at just £14.95 which is amazing value!

 

 

I stamped the lowest piece of the cake twice, once on the white layer of the card then again on a separate piece which I handcut and added dimensionals, sticking over the top of the original image.

 

The flowers are punched from the little Bitty Flower Punch, love this, use it so often, it's part of a set of three punches, the others being a Star and Heart.
