Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016 – 2017 Blog Hop Week 4

Welcome to the Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016-2017 Blog Hop! You’ll be hopping around 10 amazing Stampin’ Up!® Independent Demonstrators blogs, each with an inspirational project, featuring new catalogue products.

Currently you’re visiting Kerry from Gloucestershire in the UK Hello there! You  can continue hopping by using the previous and next buttons at the end of this post.

Now, let’s scroll down to see what I’ve been making.
The "Love and Affection" stamp set was one of the first I received during the pre-order period and I fell in love with it straight away. It's been one of those sets that I really find hard to put down and I've created so many different projects for different occasions.

I've used lots of the stamps from the set to create my card, and used two of the new In Colours Flirty Flamingo and Dapper Denim.

Another new product featuring here are the Layering Squares Framelits Dies, and the first picture doesn't show it very clearly but I created an aperture to frame my flower and leaf spray.

Maybe you can see the aperture better in this picture. I love spots and chose this paper from the "Floral Boutique" Suite, these papers are just stunning, Navy and White, a perfect colour combo to add a "pop of bright"!

Can you see the Floral Boutique Washi Tape too? I've used nearly a whole pack already, you will find a strip along the bottom of my card stuck to a piece of whisper white cardstock. I've also used the co-ordinating Solid Bakers Twine and just had to order more as I was getting low!

It's Swap time!

I am getting very excited as in 2 days time I will be leaving for Barcelona in preparation for the Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip on a Mediterranean Cruise that commences on Sunday.  I earnt this trip last year and Stampin' Up! pay for myself and a guest to travel, this will be my 5th trip and I can't wait!

I will be spending 4 days with some beautiful friends, Michelle, Monica, Amanda and Natalie, people whom I have met through being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and I am so happy to have a few days to chill with them before the cruise begins.

So on Saturday I began to prepare my swaps for this trip.  Here's all the elements before I assembled them.

Can you spot some sneak peaks?

Leave me a comment below to let me know which Sneak Peak products you can see and I will pull a name from the hat to send a little treat in the post to say thank you for stopping by!

I will share my completed swap with you later, first I have a little packing to do!

Thank you for stopping by, come back very soon!

Faux Tearing Technique

And finally, the last card from my class, four in total then there's just one more thing to share, a gift box, but more on that later!

For this card we used the

Faux Tearing Technique

I love how easy this technique is, simply tear a piece of copy paper, tape it down onto your base layer of vanilla or white, leaving a gap between the tears.  Daub with your chosen colour between the torn paper being careful not to move them or ink underneath the torn edges.  Once your'e happy you have enough colour, stamp your image then remove the torn copy paper and voila!!

I pulled my Bow Punch from my shelf and used crumb cake cardstock to create my little bow.

I do love texture, this corrugated card from Stampin' Up! is a great addition to our standard card, I love it, ha ha, I do make myself laugh when I type that, I just love it all don't I!!!!!

If you've not tried this technique before, give it a go, it's really easy and very effective!

I hope you've enjoyed the cards I've created with the In The Meadow stamp set, I think it's a great versatile set that you will use for lots of different occasions

Flowering Fields

We are in the last month of Sale-a-bration and I have to say I am really loving the offerings this year, I just need more time to create with them!

So this free offering "Flowering Fields" has been a very popular choice, I love how simple the images are, perfect for adding a little colour with a blender pen or aqua painter or as I've done here, just simply left plain!

The birthday greeting is from a set called "Suite Sayings" which you can find in the Spring/Summer catalogue and I used my pokey tool to create a curled end on my banner.

Love this colour combo of Blushing Bride, Rose Red, Crumb Cake teamed with Whisper White.  The patterened paper is from the Love Blossoms little paper stack which I totally adore!
