Step into Spring Class

In February I held an all day class called "Step Into Spring".

We created several different projects during the day and here is one of the 3D items, a decorated Carafe with matching Gift Bag.

I used the new Sprial Flower Die with the Big Shot Machine.  It is so simple to create beautiful 3D flowers using this die.  It is amazing value at just £15.95  You just cut them and roll them!  Here I used the Fringe Scissors to make the flower centres.

We used Crumb Cake Tulle from the Clearance Rack to create a pretty bow.

The bag was decorated using the same flowers, I love things to match and this would make a great gift.

I have some classes on Saturday 15th March at Whitminster Village Hall, there are three to choose from and booking closes on Monday so if you aren't on my mailing list and would like to receive information on classes and current promotions then just email me at stampinkerry@aol.com or text or call 07717 068909

Christmas Banner Kit Projects

So today was spent mostly on the road, as Jason is away car racing in Snetterton it was down to me to drive Jack to Leeds to buy a new car!!  We left at around 8.00am and didn't arrive home till nearly 5.00pm.  A 3 hour drive each way with a little stop in between "doing the deal"!!  I found the driving really tiring and glad that we have a taxi arranged to take us to Manchester for the 2013 Convention in less than 2 weeks time.  I am getting so excited but have so many tasks to complete in the meantime.

Onto another project using the Simply Created "Christmas Banner Kit"

So here is the kit itself

For £8.95 you get
Die Cut Glittery Snowflake Accents
4 Patterned Paper Strips pre-scored for rosettes
Patterned Paper Circles for Rosette Centres
Large Rhinestones
2 Pieces of Silver 1/8" Ribbon
2 Pieces 2-tone Ribbon in Bermuda Bay/Pool Party
Whisper White 5/8" Taffeta Ribbon
5 Faceted Designer Buttons

Here is a card I created with parts of the kit.  You can see I used Ribbons, a Rhinestone and a Patterened Paper circle.  The 1 1/4" Two Tone ribbon is gorgeous.

Here's a closer shot of the ribbon

I used the "Flower Shop" set for the pansy flower then the single stamp "Magnificent Maple" which has so much detail on.  The greeting is from the "Wetlands" stamp set die cut using a framelit from the new "Thinlits Circle Card" set.

I hope you are enjoying the projects I have created with the kit, come back soon for some more inspiration.

Snowflake Thinlits Circle Card

I recently ran a class which included the Christmas Banner Simply Created Kit and I wanted to show how versatile it was rather than what it was intended for.  At last months Quarterly training with Amanda we also used the kit and it was very inspiring!

Firstly I haven't used much of the kit on this card but as the new Thinlits Card dies had just been released I needed to share it with everyone!

The only pieces I used from the kit was the strip of patterned paper to the bottom right which is pre-scored and designed to use to make a rosette and also the White Taffeta ribbon.

So here is the card closed, with the weather being so grim it has been difficult trying to get a good picture.

By placing the cardstock in the die the non-conventional way we get an "extended" version of the card by having the extra panel to the right.

We did a little stamping on the front white panel using "Gorgeous Grunge" then the snowflake is from the "Festive Flurry" set which has matching Framelits Dies to cut the images out.

Then, as you open it out, the circle "flips" around which is just so clever, I love the idea and so easy to achieve.

It is easy to create the panels with the semi circles cut out and if requested I will post some pictures of how this is done.

At first the card looks complicated, but it really can be whipped up in a flash with the help of the Thinlits Card die.
