Mini Easel Notepad

Another class project, an Easel Notepad complete with it's own gift bag.

The elements on the front of the Kraft flower bag are all from the Mini Album Kit that you will find in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.  The bag is designed to become a "Page" in the album but I chose it to be a bag to hold my desktop Easel Notepad.

This is such a cute kit containing everything to create a gorgeous mini album, including covers, inside pages, book rings, doilies, clips and die cut labels, shapes and borders.  If you scroll down you can get a look at the contents.  Please note that the gold butterflies are not included, I punched these with the Bitty Butterfly punch using the Gold foil paper, also in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

I am constantly making little notes in the kitchen and instead of having a non attractive post it note pad on the side or mini notepad I decided to make something a little more attractive!  It's decoration is simple but could be dressed up a little more if you prefer.  This would make a really nice gift too!

The flower is from "Mixed Bunch" stamps, punched out with the co-ordinating "Blossom Punch".

We are sadly waving goodbye to the Ruffle Stretch Trim ribbon range, I will miss it lots but we will be saying hello to the Decorative Dots embossing folder which made an appearance during Sale-a-bration.

If you would like to create some projects just like these, then why not let me to run a private class in your home or in mine!!  All you need is a minimum of 6 people, tea/coffee and biscuits, I will do the rest!  Please get in touch for more details.

Gift Giving, just a little treat

I love to give little "treats" to people, and the simplest chocolate treat can be decorated in such a way that the packaging can sometimes be more "tasty" than the contents, is that possible where chocolate is concerned, I'll leave that one up to your tastebuds!

A colour combo inspired by the chocolate bar packaging, the lovely Wisteria Wonder here teamed with Crumb Cake (my all time favourite colour) and a little Calypso Coral.

The blossom punch is so useful to create flowers in a flash, here with an Antique Brad as the centre.

I used lots of vellum cardstock for the flowers and also the Bitty Butterfly and the pearls just finish everything off

A "Belly Band" secures the packaging, slide it off to reveal the inner core!

And of course, a gift bag to carry it in!

Time is running out.....

..... to get those final things on your Wish List from the Summer Mini Catalogue, this catalogue retires on 31st August so don't miss out.

Onto another card, this time using "Mixed Bunch", a real favourite of mine that I have used over and over again, it is just so versatile.

A really Clean and Simple card today, very quick and easy to put this one together.  The Mixed Bunch flower was punched out with the Blossom Punch, both of which are in the Summer Mini Catalogue and here I used Real Red from the Brights family of colours.

The greeting is from "Perfect Punches" stamps and I used an Island Indigo Marker Pen to omit the oval that runs around the wording.

I used the Simply Scored tool to create a subtle border around the Whisper White layer.

So simple, love it!

Another Vienna Layout "Spin the Wheel"

Our second layout at August's Class.  This is a picture of me spinning the wheel in the hospitality suite in Vienna.  Each day during our stay we got to "Spin the Wheel" and pick a prize, it was great!

I used colours that we will sadly be saying goodbye to, Pear Pizzazz and Blusing Bride, two of the In Colours that will retire at the end of September.

We stamped onto Blusing Bride card with the same colour using one of the "Mixed Bunch" flowers then punched out with the co-ordinating Blossom Punch adding centres raised using Dimensionals.

The leaves are cut using the "Little Leaves" sizzlit die.

The daisies were die cut with the Big Shot using the "Daisies #2" die, here I layer two together and curved the edges down.

Bright Blossoms Class

On Saturday I held my "Bright Blossoms" Class at Whitminster and I was joined by 12 lovely ladies and here are the projects they created.  All the projects co-ordinated and our colour combo was Sahara Sand, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade.

We made a gift box that fits 4 Ferrerro Rocher perfectly, a squashed version of one we made recently at my Big Shot Class!  We used the Blossom Punch and stamped flowers from the Bright Blossoms stamp set to decorate the petals.  We also stamped the dotty flower head in Whisper White onto the base of the box but it's difficult to see here!
To go with the box we made a cute note card with matching envelope that we created using the Simply Scored tool with the Diagonal Plate, it is so quick and easy with this score board.

Next we made two cards

Followed by a gift bag that would be suitable to hold a small gift or a set of the mini notecards that we made earlier.

We used the Framelits labels and Edgelits for this one which I find I am using all the time.  The handles were made with the Stitched Poly ribbob in Pear Pizzazz

Here is a closer view of the front panel......

Everyone had goodies on arrival, the Bright Blossoms Stamp set, a pack of Mini Silver Brads and a pack of Bakers Twine in White.

I decorated their goody bags and die cut their Initials with the Timeless Type Sizzlits Alphabet and used Crystal Effects to give them a nice shiny finish.

Here is everyone hard at play, we had the side doors open letting in the beautiful weather and it was almost like crafting outside!

Thank you all for coming along, you created a lot of projects in one morning and hope that you weren't feeling too pooped for the rest of the day!!
