Mini Thank You's

Yet again I have been creating Thank You's and this was my creation for the last batch that went through the assembly line!  I was inspired on this one by a card we created at a past team gathering, I loved the simplicity of using the Square Scallop Punch to showcase the gorgeous papers in the "Cottage Wall" designer series paper pack.  The stamps were from "Say it with Scallops" which co-ordinates perfectly with the Square Scallop Punch.  I have also used the new "Small Heart Punch" which you can find in the Mini Catalogue.
Remember that these papers won't be around for much longer, they will definitely not be running through to the 2010/11 Idea Book & Catalogue, so if you like what you see, don't delay and be disappointed, place your order while stocks are still available.

Card Class Creation

OK, as promised yesterday, here is the second card we created on Monday night, this card was our "Technique Card".  I was inspired on this one from a swap I received from Elaine at the quarterly team meeting in May and decided to move a few things around a bit and finally came up with this.

We used the "Kissing" Technique on the "Flower Accent" stamp, basically you kiss two stamps together, one of them being a solid stamp and one a patterned one which gives s stunning result that can have so many different variations.

Our background was created using the jumbo wheel "Very Vintage" in Apricot Appeal ink.  We added Mellow Moss Taffeta ribbon to this layer and attached to our Mellow Moss base card.  Our "Flower Accent" was hand cut and adhered with punched out flowers from the "Boho Blossom" punch surrounding it.  We also used the "Two step Bird Punch" to punch out a couple of leaf branches from Always Artichoke card.

Our greeting is from "Say it with Scallops" which co-ordinates with the Scallop Square punch and we used different stamps from this set accordingly to suit.

18th

Another card I made recently for an 18th birthday.  Once again I used "Vintage Vogue" and the new Rich Razzleberry!  I also used "Say it with Scallops" for the square image then punched the Happy Birthday circle from the "Wow Flowers" set.  This card was inspired from a swap I recently received from Elaine.  My background was stamped using the "Very Vintage" wheel and of course I had to include some of the new Rich Razzlberry Polka Dot Ribbon and a couple of clear Rhinestones!

The second colour I used was "Pale Plum" which works lovely with the Rich Razzleberry and I was really pleased with the end result.

Man Cards!!

I made this card earlier this month for a male birthday, but when I finished it I wasn't convinced it was masculine enough so ended up not sending it and making another one!!

I used "Circle Circus" stamps to create the background stamped onto Whisper White cardstock in Basic Black and Real Red ink.  My greeting is from "Say it with Scallops" and punched it out using the co-ordinating Scallop Square Punch.  These two items are part of this month's promotion called "Perfect Pairs" so if you were to purchase "Say it with Scallops" stamp set you would be eligible to purchase the Scallop Square Punch for a special price of £10.00 (normally £12.50).  I layered the scallop square stamped image onto squares of Whisper White and Basic Black Cardstock.  I added a piece of Silver Elastic Cord at the top, tied with a knot to finish.  I really do find man cards a challenge and I know I am not alone!

I think I may challenge myself to create two man cards for my next card class in April, what do you think ladies??

Open Day Make & Take No. 2

This was the 2nd make and take project we created at the Open Day last Saturday.  I just love Rose Red and Old Olive together, really bright and fresh.  We used two newly released stamp sets "Say it with Scallops" and Circle Circus, both of these sets work with the Stampin Up Circle Punches and Scallop Square Punch.  The greeting "For You" was from "One of A Kind" stamp set.  We stamped images from "Circle Circus" and hand cut the 6 petal shapes in two different sizes in Old Olive and So Saffron then layered them with Dimensionals.  The centre piece is stamped in Old Olive then a second image is stamped using the Old Olive and Rose Red Stampin Write Markers two create a two colour image and then we hand cut the middle square and raised it using Dimensionals.  We used the lovely Rose Red Double Stitched Grosgrain ribbon across the centre of the card to add texture.  The greeting was stamped using Always Artichoke to ensure that it stood out against the Rose Red Designer Series Paper.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the stamp sets or materials used in the above project, please email me on stampinkerry@aol.com, postage will be £3.95 per order and can be delivered direct to your door via a courier service!
