Circle Circus

I just love the versatility of this stamp set, so many different occasions, masculine, feminine cards, and beautiful for scrapbook layouts too.

I haven't used this set at for a while so I decided to get it out to use on some most needed Thank You cards.  I used Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie and Apricot Appeal, a nice combination of colours that worked well together.  I also made another batch of these cards in a different colourway, quite straight forward which is important when making cards in bulk, although if you click on the photo to enlarge it you will see that I did a bit of decoupage with the flowers on the centre circle so there was some handcutting involved.  I chose my greeting from the "Trendy Trees" stamp set, remember this set has an amazing 20% off during the month of August, so don't delay, there's not long left to grab yourself a bargain!

Thanks for dropping by, back soon with some more creations!

Scrapbooking 2nd Layout

One of the other layouts from tonight's Scrapbooking Class.  The DSP is from "Bella Bleu", not all of the papers are "blue" as you may think, they are actually very gorgeous neutral patterns that would suit many occasions.

We used "Circle Circus" for the stamped images, stamped in Not Quite Navy and Chocolate Chip which we layered on top of each other.  We added some Chocolate Chip Striped Ribbon and brads for texture and used a dauber to ink around all the cardstock edges, including the 12x12 DSP base layer.  The frame is from "Frames with a Flourish", stamped over with the leaf and berry stamp from "A Touch of Nature" and then the word "love" from "Basic Phrases" but of course this could be altered to suit your photograph or could just be used as a label for your date.

Scrapbook Class Layout No. 2

So here is the second layout, this would work as a double layout with the first one, very similar colours and my photo's are from the same "Photo Shoot" but I have created them as separate layouts.  I have used two 6x4" Landscape photographs for this one.
Once again, this could easily be re-created as a masculine page as the colours are quite neutral, just remove the flowers and add stamped images of your choice.  The DSP is from "Tea Party" and most of the papers in this pack are quite soft subtle colours but there are a couple, including this one that have a touch of Basic Gray, just a very fine line running through hence the matching cardstock.  I used "Circle Circus" to stamp onto the circles at the bottom of the layout.

Just need to add some journalling now and I have left the space behind the photos "unstuck" so that I can slip a piece of cardstock behind, add a tab then it can be pulled up and down to view.  I love to journal on my layouts, I feel it is an important part of scrapbooking, but sometimes I like to "hide" the journalling as it may spoil the look of a layout or there just might not be room for it!

Scrapbooking Class

Yay, blogger is behaving this morning, so here is the first layout for the next Scrapbooking Class. Apologies for the poor picture quality, I had to re-take the photographs and the light isn't so good this morning.
My photographs are:

One 7x5" Landscape and Three 3x2.5" Landscape

BUT

One 7x5" or 6x4" Landscape and One 6x4" Portrait would work just as well.

We are using the lovely "Vintage Vogue" stamps but if you would prefer to make this a more masculine page, I have other stamps that would suit in its place.

Boxed Cards

I love making these little Pizza Style boxes and filling them with cute greeting cards, they make a great little gift.

On this occasion I have used the fabulous "Circle Circus" which comprises of 10 gorgeous stamps.  I used Rose Red teamed with Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery.  I also used some of the Designer Series Patterns Papers in Rose Red.  The greetings are all from "Sincere Salutations.

Man Cards!!

I made this card earlier this month for a male birthday, but when I finished it I wasn't convinced it was masculine enough so ended up not sending it and making another one!!

I used "Circle Circus" stamps to create the background stamped onto Whisper White cardstock in Basic Black and Real Red ink.  My greeting is from "Say it with Scallops" and punched it out using the co-ordinating Scallop Square Punch.  These two items are part of this month's promotion called "Perfect Pairs" so if you were to purchase "Say it with Scallops" stamp set you would be eligible to purchase the Scallop Square Punch for a special price of £10.00 (normally £12.50).  I layered the scallop square stamped image onto squares of Whisper White and Basic Black Cardstock.  I added a piece of Silver Elastic Cord at the top, tied with a knot to finish.  I really do find man cards a challenge and I know I am not alone!

I think I may challenge myself to create two man cards for my next card class in April, what do you think ladies??

Thanks So Much

Once again I had a stack of Thank You's to make and needed something sweet and simple so I created these little 3 1/2" square cards using "Circle Circus".  I created a random background using several of the stamps in Rose Red, Old Olive and So Saffron stamped onto Whisper White cardstock then layered onto a co-ordinating card base.  I used the Scallop Border Punch to create a border along the bottom of each card and then paper pierced a row of holes at the top using the Mat Pack as a guide.  My greeting is from "Trendy Trees" which I cut out using the Word Window Punch.

Whilst I am on the theme of Thanking, I would like to say what a lovely night I had at Susie's last night, I hope you all enjoyed the workshop, it was really great fun and well done to you lucky ladies who managed to earn yourselves FREE Sale-a-bration stamp sets!

Don't forget, Sale-a-Bration ends tomorrow, 28th February so now's the time to place your qualifying order to receive a FREE stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration leaflet.  For more details contact me on stampinkerry@aol.com.

Just a quick post today to show you a card that I demonstrated last night at a workshop I held.  I used So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel, a lovely combination of colours along with the "Circle Circus" and "Oval Alls" stamp sets.  I used the Scallop Edge punch to create a border to the left side of my card and pierced the Creamy Caramel strip of card using the Mat Pack.  I attached a piece of 1/2" "So Saffron" Striped Grosgrain which I knotted for extra texture.  My first layer was created using a piece of the So Saffron Designer Series Paper, which I then layer with Whisper White cardstock that cased my stamped images.  The greeting was stamped using the Oval Alls set and cut using the co-ordinating Scallop Oval and Plain Scallop punches.  To give the card depth I inked the edges of my mat layers with Chocolate Chip ink using a dauber.  I also cut some flower elements from my stamped images and backed them with dimensionals to give them height and added a flat backed pearl from the Pretties Kit.

Circle, Circles!

Circles, Circles everywhere, I just love the "Circle Circus" set, not that you hadn't noticed!!  Here I have used Rose Red and Chocolate Chip inks and cardstock, these two colours work really well together and I threw in a strip of Kraft to break it up!  I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for correct placement of my greeting which is from the "Sincere Salutations" set.

Thanks for dropping by!

18th Card

I was asked to make an 18th card by a friend and here is the end result.  She asked for pink so I decided to use Rose Red teamed with Chocolate Chip and a smidge of Kraft.  I have used the large stamp from "Circle Circus" and cut elements from it and raised them with Dimensionals.  I added a flat back pearl to centre one of the raised flowers which were stamped in Rose Red ink.  I printed my greeting as a name was requested and die cut the number 18.  I added a piece of knotted 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon to my greeting panel and pierced holes at the edge using the Mat Pack.  Simple but sweet!

Thank You's

I needed to make some Thank You cards so here is what I came up with.  I am so loving the "Circle Circus" set at the moment so I decided to use it on some small 3x3 cards.  My card base is Basic Grey, topped with a strip of Rose Red Designer Series Paper and Cardstock which I pierced using the Mat Pack.  The circle images are from the "Circle Circus" set and the greeting from the "Trendy Trees" set which is so cute!  I stamped the images in Rose Red onto Whisper White card then matted it onto Basic Black cardstock.  Quite simple but really quick and cute!

I am offering some Ribbon and Designer Series Paper shares so will post all the details tomorrow.

Stampin' Saturday

Yesterday afternoon, in a moment of lonliness, I decided to invite a couple of friends around to be creative with me as I knew I was going to be "home alone".  I prepared a make and take project using the wonderful "Circle Circus" and Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper.  We had a lovely time, chilling out, being creative and discussing the endless possibilities produced with this stamp set.  Thank you ladies for coming along, hope you enjoyed yourselves!

I also did a little demonstration using one of the "Love Notes" envelopes, with the "One of a Kind" stamp set, this is just so cute.  The paper is from the "Bella Bleu" Designer Series Paper.
Don't forget, if you would like to order any Stampin' Up! products, just give me a shout on stampinkerry@aol.com

Check back soon for details of a new Stampin' Up! offer that begins  tomorrow.

Open Day Make & Take No. 2

This was the 2nd make and take project we created at the Open Day last Saturday.  I just love Rose Red and Old Olive together, really bright and fresh.  We used two newly released stamp sets "Say it with Scallops" and Circle Circus, both of these sets work with the Stampin Up Circle Punches and Scallop Square Punch.  The greeting "For You" was from "One of A Kind" stamp set.  We stamped images from "Circle Circus" and hand cut the 6 petal shapes in two different sizes in Old Olive and So Saffron then layered them with Dimensionals.  The centre piece is stamped in Old Olive then a second image is stamped using the Old Olive and Rose Red Stampin Write Markers two create a two colour image and then we hand cut the middle square and raised it using Dimensionals.  We used the lovely Rose Red Double Stitched Grosgrain ribbon across the centre of the card to add texture.  The greeting was stamped using Always Artichoke to ensure that it stood out against the Rose Red Designer Series Paper.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the stamp sets or materials used in the above project, please email me on stampinkerry@aol.com, postage will be £3.95 per order and can be delivered direct to your door via a courier service!
