Happy New Year cards

I wanted to send out some "New Year" cards this month, last year I used my large number dies but this time I wanted something different.

I came across a similar thing on Pinterest how they used a Christmas bauble and decided that I could use my new

Up and Away Thinlits

to solve my large bauble situation!

I used the same colour combo but changed the gold to our fabulous Copper foil card.

I love how it turned out and I got to use up lots of scraps of cardstock too.

My colour combo is

Basic Black
Blessing Bride
Smoky Slate
Copper
Whisper White

The spotty smoky slate designer paper is from the Sale-a-bration pack called Carried Away, FREE with any £45 spend

Bringing you some Good Cheer!

The launch of the Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue last month has really sparked my festive creativity.  Now I know it's not for all of you, you don't like to start until at least mid November but in my eyes, the earlier the better, things get so hectic as we near Christmas that to have your cards ready and prepared for sending by the beginning of December is a good plan which leaves the rest of the month to finishing off your shopping and wrapping!

So today I'm sharing a really simple card, created using a stamp set called "Stitched with Cheer".  I love, love, love the snowflakes in this set, there are three in total and love how you could just create a whole background with these stamps alone.

I have teamed Whisper White with Mint Macaron and a smidge of gold.  Now I wasn't really a gold person, personally found Silver more to my taste but Gold has grown on me of late.

I recently had a good tidy up of my workspace and invested in a few gold accessories to make my desk look pretty rather than messy lol!  Maybe I will share a picture??

I created a simple tag using a rectangle of whisper white cardstock then snipped off the corners to create a tag shape.  I added some of the gorgeous Gold twine to make a bow then used my handy Cookie Cutter Punch to cut some teeny little hearts from Gold Glimmer paper.  I have to say the new Precision Glue is perfect for sticking down tiny punch outs or embellishments.

This stamp set "Stitched with Cheer" has been designed to co-ordinate with the co-ordinating Project Kit, see below

and I also love that the little holly and berries can be punched out using the Holly Berry Builder Punch.  I just love how Stampin' Up! make it easy for us to craft and produce professional looking projects.

Don't forget today is the last opportunity to get up to 25% off selected products on the World Card Making Day offer, full details in my previous post

Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016 – 2017 Blog Hop Week 4

Welcome to the Hello! Annual Catalogue 2016-2017 Blog Hop! You’ll be hopping around 10 amazing Stampin’ Up!® Independent Demonstrators blogs, each with an inspirational project, featuring new catalogue products.

Currently you’re visiting Kerry from Gloucestershire in the UK Hello there! You  can continue hopping by using the previous and next buttons at the end of this post.

Now, let’s scroll down to see what I’ve been making.
The "Love and Affection" stamp set was one of the first I received during the pre-order period and I fell in love with it straight away. It's been one of those sets that I really find hard to put down and I've created so many different projects for different occasions.

I've used lots of the stamps from the set to create my card, and used two of the new In Colours Flirty Flamingo and Dapper Denim.

Another new product featuring here are the Layering Squares Framelits Dies, and the first picture doesn't show it very clearly but I created an aperture to frame my flower and leaf spray.

Maybe you can see the aperture better in this picture. I love spots and chose this paper from the "Floral Boutique" Suite, these papers are just stunning, Navy and White, a perfect colour combo to add a "pop of bright"!

Can you see the Floral Boutique Washi Tape too? I've used nearly a whole pack already, you will find a strip along the bottom of my card stuck to a piece of whisper white cardstock. I've also used the co-ordinating Solid Bakers Twine and just had to order more as I was getting low!
