Watercolour Wings is Just for You!

Gorgeous colour combo today

Watermelon Wonder
Tip Top Taupe
Mint Macaron
Early Espresso

Why is that Stampin' Up!'s colours just go sooooo well together, just one of the many things I love, love, love about this company and it's products!

Co-ordination is definitely the thing that drew me love the products instantly, and I honestly mean instantly, it was like love at first sight!

This stamp set I'm using today is called

"Watercolour Wings"

and is from the new Annual Catalogue

It's a 2-step stamp set where you basically layer two stamps together to create a two-toned image.

I love that this set has a matching Framelits set of dies, makes it much easier to be creative and creates a nice clean cut image to finish.

For my butterflies on this card I stamped first using the solid butterfly image with Tip Top Taupe ink, then followed by an outline image in Early Espresso.

I find it much easier to die cut the butterfly once stamped, then to ink up the body piece and stamp onto the die cut butterfly.

The "Just for You" greeting is also part of the same set, I've used the Oval and Scallop Oval punches to frame it and layer with Dimensionals.

Here you can see just how 3D this card is in real life, beautiful don't you think?

Beautiful Butterflies

And finally the last card in the set of three we made at a recent class, focussing on the Six Sided Sampler Stamp set and Butterflies thinlits dies from Stampin' Up!

This is my favourite Butterfly Die, very intricate and cuts out perfectly if you use some double sided wax paper, although others use Tumble Dryer sheets and have success too!

Loving the greeting "Happy Birthday", the mix of fonts, the styles, love it, and it's from the Cottage Greetings stamp set.

Second card from my class

Yesterday I spent the day with my daughter Sophie visiting Edge Hill University in Liverpool for an Open Day.  She has set her heart on going here next year and had our day mapped out weeks ago, such a well organised little angel she is!

We had a lovely day and I too fell in love with the place, but reality actually hit that I will be losing her to the big wide open world and although we are very close, I plan on spending much more time doing things together with her.  We spend so much time living our everyday lives that time slips away with us and we should plan more things into our diaries and make them actually happen instead of just talking about it!

Back to today's card, at the majority of my monthly classes, we make 2-3 cards using the same stamps and materials that co-ordinate.

Here is the second card from a recent class, the first one in my previous post.

Gorgeous colour combo of

Bermuda Bay
Rich Razzleberry
Very Vanilla

I can't get enough of the Labels Framelits Dies, I'm using them on everything, such a great set of dies at an amazing price!

Again, the Six Sided Sampler stamp set is very versatile, offering a solution for most occasions and it's so easy to use with the co-ordinating Hexagon Punch.

The cute die cut Butterfly is from a new set called Bold Butteflies and again I can't seem to put this down either!

I hope you like today's card, why not try this colour combo out for yourself!
