Gift Giving, just a little treat

I love to give little "treats" to people, and the simplest chocolate treat can be decorated in such a way that the packaging can sometimes be more "tasty" than the contents, is that possible where chocolate is concerned, I'll leave that one up to your tastebuds!

A colour combo inspired by the chocolate bar packaging, the lovely Wisteria Wonder here teamed with Crumb Cake (my all time favourite colour) and a little Calypso Coral.

The blossom punch is so useful to create flowers in a flash, here with an Antique Brad as the centre.

I used lots of vellum cardstock for the flowers and also the Bitty Butterfly and the pearls just finish everything off

A "Belly Band" secures the packaging, slide it off to reveal the inner core!

And of course, a gift bag to carry it in!

Best of Everything for a Happy Birthday

The final Big Shot project, in keeping with the others using the same stamps, dies and colours.

Don't you just love the "Honeycomb" Embossing Folder, well you know I do as I just love about everything Stampin' Up!

I love how the "textured impressions" embossing folders do just what they say, the embossed result is so deep, it's definitely textured.

That little bird is just so "tweet"!  Love the font style on the "Curly Cute" greeting set.

Yet again the Marker Pens are put to good use creating a multi coloured branch.

And the finished result.....

Best of Everything special fold card

So back to my Big Shot Class, concentrating on the Window Frame Framelits dies and Blossom Party die.

I don't know what to call this type of fold on a card so I'm just going to call it a "special" one!!!

It works on the same principal as the one we did last month with the Oval Framelits.  It's such a stunning fold, yet so simple to create.

Here you can see how the fold works, we made a custom envelope to fit using the Simply Scored with the Diagonal Plate

The "Best of Everything" set is so sweet and versatile too.  The tiny Primrose Petals (pink) flowers are cut using the 4 petal flower one from the "Bitty Punches Pack", I use this sooooo much I've rubbed the pattern off the front!

Hope you enjoyed today's project, I will share the final Big Shot project tomorrow.

Best of Everything Window Frame Box

A project from this month's Big Shot Class, a box made using the Window Frames Framelits to create the lid and base and again using the Blossom Party Die

The stamps are from the "Best of Everything" set, love it, sooooo cute!

The pictures aren't brilliant but it's difficult to get good light with the weather!

For the base of the box we used the Naturals White cardstock as it's a little heavier than the Whisper White.

We cut two Window Framelits to create the lid and the base of the box.

The daisy flower die cut is my favourite from the Blossom Party die, the leaves are from the Bird Builder punch.

Marker Pens help to create a multi coloured image on your stamps and of course a co-ordinating punch or two make life just so much easier!

Here you can see how the lid was created from the Window Framelit die cut.

Candy Wrapper Die

So I love how cute the "Candy Wrapper" die is, created so quickly using the Big Shot Machine, perfect for little treats, such an inexpensive gift.

My colour combo is:
Primrose Petals
Pool Party
Basic Grey
Very Vanilla

The patterned paper is from the "More Amore" speciality pack.

I am sooooo in love with the "Antique Brads", they are so heavy and have a very vintage feel, this one here is my favourite design.  Love how the circles and scallop circle punches layer up together.

The cute little Safety Pin is from a pack of the "Vintage Trinkets", just £5.50 for little vintage brads and pins in antique colours.

The stamped "hello" is from the "Tiny Tags" set which has a matching tag punch.

If you'd like to see a demonstration of something like this, why not book a party with me for a fun, creative evening.

Lovely weekend away...

We're back home from a lovely weekend away racing, thankfully all in one piece and bearing a Trophy for 2nd Place!  I am so proud of Jack, he has an amazing talent on the bike and it was a very demanding track.  During his racing career since the age of 6 he has had 2 serious accidents but he still keeps coming back for more!

When he's on the track my heart is in my stomache but I know he will only do what he feels comfortable with and although he is 18, he's still my little man.

The trophies were huge today and after all 5 races over the weekend he achieved 2nd Place with a spot on the podium.  They all agreed not to shake the Champagne today, but I can recall many a time since the age of 6 that he has taken great pleasure in spraying everyone standing nearby!

Back soon with some more crafty creations!

Oval Framelits Gift Box

And for the final Big Shot project, a cute little gift box, again using the Oval Framelits.

Love this colour combo, sadly Riding Hood Red is retiring.

Love the butterfly image from the "Kindness Matters" set

A jumbo pearl sits nicely in the centre of the flower

And finally the inside of the box, not the best of pictures but I couldn't get it to stay open!

All three projects together

More Big Shot projects

The next project was a card, again using the Ovals Framelits

Again we used the "Kindness Matters" stamp set along with "Summer Silhouettes".   The Jumbo Pearls look great as flower centres.

I adore the Natural Composition Designer Paper, the catalogue pictures really don't do it any justice.  The gloss images look as if they have been clear heat embossed and the card itself is a very heavy weight.

The crochet trim is so pretty, quite vintage looking and worked well with the vanilla layers.

Telford Regional Event

Wow, I am still giddy with excitement from the Stampin' Up! Regional Training Event on Saturday in Telford.

I had 6 lovely "Inspirationals" join me at Telford and boy, it was fun and very inspiring.

I took lots of pictures, some of which I am not allowed to share yet.

I was honoured to be asked to present again and from the feedback I have received it was enjoyed by many.

We stamped, chatted, laughed, shared, ate and had a great time.

Here we are doing our Make and Takes

I was shattered by the time we got home but enjoyed every minute of the day, it's just a shame that it went so quickly!

Big Shot Class Projects

I am really struggling with my time management at the moment, this week has been crammed and it's far from over yet!  I love the Bank Holidays but hate missing that day of work and having to catch up!

My focus for last month's Big Shot class was the Oval Framelits Dies.  They are just so useful, love them, especially the scalloped edge one.

The stamps we used were "Kindness Matters", "Summer Silhouettes" and a couple of greetings, the one on here is "Fabulous Phrases" which has been getting a lot of use, love how they work with the Word Window Punch.

My colour combo is Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Pool Party, all teamed with Very Vanilla.

A bit of handcutting involved with the flowers and butterflies, but worth the effort.

I had seen a card on the internet, but with no instructions so I set to work trying to figure it out, and finally got there!  Just a few score lines and hey presto!

here's the inside/reverse

Loving the Vellum Cardstock at the moment, here we used it to create a subtle belly band.

Hope you like, will be back with the other projects soon.

Kindness Matters

I thought I would share a recent card I made for April's team promotions.

I used the "Kindness Matters" stamp set which is so delicate and pretty.

My colour combo is Soft Suede, Marina Mist and Very Vanilla.

I have used Marker Pens to ink the Butterflies stamp then punched it out with the XL Oval Punch, layering onto ovals cut using the Ovals Framelits Dies.  Love the Designer Frames Embossing Folder that works so perfectly with the other ovals.

A little daubing in Soft Suede helps the Butterflies oval stand out a little.  Adore the Fancy Fan embossing folder, definitely one of my favourites.

The lovely patterned paper is from the "Natural Composition" pack, each sheet has patterns on which look like they have been clear embossed, so stunning in real life.  The border was created using the Dotted Scallop border punch, love the cute little scallops with holes in!

Have a busy few days of planning ahead but hope to be back with you soon!
