Notepad Holder

So the next item we made at my "Pretty Packaging" class was this notepad holder.

During my trip to Salt Lake City for the Incentive Trip this year, we had napkins presented inside a Chevron Bag like this, with the ribbon tied through holes and I really liked the idea so used it to make a pouch.

Inside we decorated a notepad and pen insert, a perfect gift.

The flowers are from the "Flower Shop" stamp set, available as a bundle with the matching "Pansy Punch" which saves you 15% when purchased together.

We used some of the White Pressed Simply Clay and moulds to create the flower centre, love how these flowers are so detailed yet so light and weightless!

The top of the bag was folded over then the gorgeous Chevron Ribbon threaded through punched holes.

Pretty Packaging Class

Another project from my "Pretty Packaging" class, a block bottom back created from a flat Tag a Bag.

Everyone received a whole pack of Tag a Bag Gift Bags and I wanted to show a couple of different ways of using them.  The tag is carried on from the previous theme on the notecards, with the punched out butterflies, held on place by a tiny peg from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit and the ruffle stretch ribbon as the bag enclosure, easy to pull off and open to reveal the contents.

and a side view to show the depth of the bag

Pretty Packaging Class and New HOSTESS CODE for October

In August I ran a class called "Pretty Packaging" and here's what we created, gifts and packing focussed around the Tag a Bag Bags and Boxes and the "Afternoon Picnic" Designer Series Paper.

I loved the colours in the designer papers, Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana and Wisteria Wonder, they look so pretty together.

Over the next couple of days I will share each project with you.

Firstly the notecard pouch.  We decorated a Chevron Paper Bag by tying a bow with the Pear Pizzazz ribbon and adding a cute tag layered with a Deoc Label Framelits Die and punched out Oval along with the Bitty and Elegant Butterfly Punches.

The greeting is from the stamp set called "Creatively Yours"

We used the Notecards and Envelopes set for our 3 cards inside, following on the theme from the bag with the Chevron Embossing Folder.

Again similar detail with the tag to keep things simple and speedy.  I loved how these turned out, so crisp and fresh and quick to assemble.  This would make a lovely gift for someone.

We stamped different images on each card using the stamp set "A Dozen Thoughts"

Pop n Cuts Gift Card Pouch

This was the final project for last month's Big Shot class, a treat or gift card/money pouch designed using the Pop n Cuts Base card die.

I was inspired by some projects the lovely Monica Gale had created at the US Convention and decided to use the same colours as I loved them together.

The Pop n Cuts card base die was used for the main body of the pouch, I folded a piece of Soft Suede cardstock and ran it through the big shot with the Pop n Cuts die to get a decorative finish at each end.

I loved how it turned out, very vintage but of course this isn't everyone's style, I like both vintage and crisp and clean.  We cut circles and layered them onto a Deco Label that was stamped with the Morning Post Numbers set giving a nice stamped outline to the die cut.  It was finished with a Vintage button tied with Linen Thread.

The Pistachio Pudding Ruffle Trim made a nice elastic closure, easy to remove which we tied then added a cute safety pin from the Vintage Trinkets accessories, the tag cut using the Duo Ticket Punch, stamped from the Lovely Little Labels set

Subtle stamping on the base just added a bit of interest without being to overwhelming then some lovely Rhinestones to glitz it a little

A view of the side to reveal a glassine bag inside that could hold small treats, money or a gift card.
