Second Card

Our second card at the class was created using "Flight of the Butterfly".  The greeting is from the Hostess set "Occasional Quotes", stamped in Rose Red ink.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Subtles Stack and we added a strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock punched with the Scallop Border Punch at the bottom.  To finish we added two basic Rhinestones to the DSP layer.

A really sweet but simple card that could easily be adapted to suit any occasion just by changing the colour and stamped image.

Card Making Class

For our second project at this month's Whitminster class I decided to use some of the retiring papers, these are from "Tea Party" and I teamed it with Almost Amythst and Basic Grey cardstock, along with some So Saffron.

We used "Flight of the Butterfly" stamps and a circle frame from "Frames with a Flourish" which is sadly retiring at the end of this month.  Our butterly was stamped with So Saffron and Basic Grey inks then punched out using the co-ordinating Butterfly Punch.  The flowers were cut with ease using the Boho Blossom Punch in Almost Amthyst and So Saffron Cardstock, the Basic Grey centre of the flower is punched with the 1/4" circle punch.

Make and Take

On Thursday night I had a workshop for Janet and here is the make and take that everyone created.  Now there was a mixture of seasoned crafters and "never before" crafters and although the card involved the use of the "Stamp-a-ma-jig" everyone coped very well.  We used "Flight of the Butterfly" stamps which are so gorgeous and also "Dot, Dot, Dot" the mini background stamp and one of the greetings from "Basic Phrases".

Our colour combination was Perfect Plum, Pale Plum (soon to be retired, awww) and Certainly Celery, teamed with Very Vanilla cardstock for the stamping.

The evening flew by so quickly and everyone was very impressed with their completed cards.  Thank you Janet for inviting your friends along for a lovely evening and I am sure you will be looking forward to receiving your free hostess goodies soon!

I had a busy week last week with classes/workshops so didn't really get much time for being creative but I did need to make yet another thank you card.  What lovely colours these are, Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum and Certainly Celery, mmmmm!

I have been using the "Flight of the Butterfly" set for my demonstrations at this month's home workshops so decided to use it while I had it out.  I used the co-ordinating Butterfly punch and added a Designer Button to the centre of the stamped butterfly.  I couldn't resist the Polka Dot ribbon tied in a knot to blend in with the "Cottage Garden" DSP I used.  My greeting is from "Sincere Salutations".

More Thank You's

These "Thank You's" were created using the "Flight of the Butterfly" set and I used the lovely new "Rich Razzleberry" along with Pale Plum.  My DSP is "Cottage Wall", one of the 11 New Products but remember, this pack won't be around for long so if you are liking what you see, you need to be ordering it before it disappears!!

Once again "Tiny Tags" has made an appearance, these tiny little greetings that fit perfectly inside the Medium Jewelery Tag punch are just so sweet and I love them to bits. There are a great variety of them to choose from in this set as it comes complete with 17 stamps and some of them are lovely accents.

My butterfly base is stamped in Pale Plum then using the Stamp-a-ma-jig I stamped the flowers over the top in Rich Razzlebery, then punched the whole thing out with the Butterfly Punch, could it get any easier!

I used the Eyelet Border Punch at the bottom of the card to add some prettiness (is there such a word?!?!).  I used the square scallop punch to create my scalloped rectangle on which the Butterfly sits.
