Painted Petals Class

I recently ran a class that included the stamp set "Painted Petals".  One of the sessions consisted of 3 cards, all similar, but different, along with a folder to put them in to give as a gift.

I love this stamp set, it's so pretty and the images when stamped, have a watercolour feel to them.

My usual subtle colours here lol, I can't help it, I'm just so drawn to them.

Loving Blushing Bride with Crumb Cake, then I used Wild Wasabi for the leaf images, took a break from Pear Pizzazz my usual favourite with these two colours.

I will be back later with the other cards and the folder to carry them in.

Birthday Butterflies

I have another "Butterfly Basics" card to share with you today, I think this has to be my favourite stamp set so far from the Spring/Summer catalogue although I have lots of new stamps to play with yet so this could change lol!

I love that the Butterflies Framelits Dies are on a bundle with this stamp set saving you 15% when purchased together

My colour combination is

Baked Brown Sugar
Blushing Bride
teamed with Whisper White

I love the "Happy Birthday" greeting, it's a great size and I love the font styles

From this view it is hard to see but I layered the butterfly with plain butterflies cut out of Baked Brown Sugar cardstock underneath the stamped image, this gave a nice 3D effect.

The DSP is again the Sale-a-bration freebie (your's FREE with any £45 order)
called "Best Year Ever".  It contains luscious papers as shown below

I used one of the gorgeous embellishments on the butterfly image, these are  from the S/S Catalogue and are called "Something Borrowed" and there are some lovely other products in this range, perfect for wedding themed projects but not just for that purpose either.

Blending with the Blendabilities Pens

I have another card from my "Blended with Blooms" class where everyone received a pack of the new Blendabilities pens.

The Blended Blooms single stamp is perfect for colouring, and I know you all love colouring, it's so relaxing right?

I've used another new stamp set here called "World of Dreams", the leaves and greeting are both from this set.

I stamped the flower, coloured it then cut it out and layered it with Dimensionals to give it a little height.

Hope you like the effect the Blendabilities give you, it is simple to create this and I would love to show you how at a class or party in your home!

Work of Art

A really sweet and simple card for you today, using the fabulous "Work of Art" stamps.

The "Work of Art" set includes "brush stroke" images along with shapes and borders.  The heart and greeting are both part of the set.

I've used some of the new thick Bakers Twine in Strawberry Slush to add a little bow.  The stripy designer paper is from the "Lullaby" set.

Work of Art Pocket Card

I have a pocket card for you today, the inner piece pulls out from the top to reveal the birthday greeting inside.  Sadly I forgot to take a picture of the stamping inside!

I have used a new In Colour
Lost Lagoon
then
Crisp Cantaloupe
and my all time fave
Crumb Cake

I've used the new Stitched Satin Ribbon here in Lost Lagoon, it is so beautiful in real life and ties lovely bows.  Securing it in place is some of the new Thick Bakers Twine in Crisp Cantaloupe.

I used Craft White Ink to create the spots, this is a stamp from the "Work of Art" set and the two brush strokes are from the same set.

The little flowers are from a set called "Something to Say" and they have a cute co-ordinating punch that comes as a set of three, a Heart, Star and Flower.

Work of Art Stamps £19.95 Clear Mount

And the finished project, a lovely little pocket card or money wallet.

Tag Topper Punch Treat Wrap

I love making little treat packaging, I think it's so nice to give sweet treats for no reason at all and the cost is usually pence!

I do spend some time in the sweet aisle at the Supermarket searching for chocolates that are individually packaged.

Here I used the Scallop Tag Topper punch to create my treat wrap and I designed it to give with the card I showed you a couple of days ago.

I began with a strip of Primrose Petals cardstock cut at just under 2" width to fit inside the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, punched it at either end then ran my bone folder along the centre to stop it creasing when I looped it.

I used the same stamps as previously, Papaya Collage for the label and butterfly image and layered it to the front, this time I added a Window Frame from the framelits set and daubed around the edge to give it some depth.

Inside I popped a chocolate bunny attaching with a Glue Dot so that it didn't get lost.

and here are the final projects together, would make a lovely gift and very inexpensive at that.

Tag Topper Table Treats

I love our new addition Tag Topper Punches, you can find them in the Spring Summer Catalogue.

Here I used the Angle Tag Topper, we also have a more decorative one, the Scallop Tag

I cut strip of cardstock, scored lines either side of the middle point then punched each end with the Angled Tag Topper Punch to create a little pouch.

I love how these punches have so many uses, not just for creating a simple tag as you would imagine.

I used gold Washi Tape to decorate it and tied the top with the Gold Bakers Twine.

The image in the centre is from the "Mosaic Madness" stamp set which has a co-ordinating punch to make life easier!

The Angled Tag automatically punches a hole at the top, perfect for tying ribbon through.

More from Papaya Collage

Another creation using Papaya Collage, I try and recycle my ideas as far as I am able to, so I used the same principle with the circle layers surrounding the butterfly as per my previous post, changed the layout and colours and hey presto, a totally different card.

My colour combo here is Primrose Petals (retiring), Raspberry Ripple (Retiring), Pool Party and Whisper White.

So Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple are two of the 2013/14 In colours which will be retiring at the end of this month.

I will be sad to see them go but we will have 5 new In Colours to keep us refreshed.

The greeting is from "Wetlands", an amazing set that is great for creating masculine projects.

Wetlands #126697 £15.95

The Stitched Grosgrain ribbon is also a retiring product, I just love how Stampin' Up! products co-ordinate, it makes things so easy to put together.

This Oval and Scallop Oval punch were the very first items I bought from Stampin' Up! back in 2009 when I discovered the products.
