Off to Madeira

Today Jay and I are travelling to Madeira for the Incentive Trip that I earnt last year.

I can't thank my lovely customers and team members enough for their help on my journey to earn 4 trips in the 5 1/2 years I have been a Demonstrator.

Of course I have to work hard too, but I have to say that I am thankful that I found Stampin' Up! and that I love my job and the best of all is that I have been able to meet so many lovely, talented, creative people along my journey so far.

I am looking forward to meeting up with some of my demonstrator friends on this trip, we do have an amazing adventure every year and it is also lovely to spend time with the Corporate Team from Stampin' Up! where you really are made to feel valued and appreciated.

So here's a little throwback to the Western Caribbean Cruise we were lucky enough to go on last year.  We really did have a lot of fun and I am glad to call these lovely people my friends, all of whom I'd never have met if it weren't for Stampin' Up!

and I hope to be sharing some photos from our latest adventure in Madeira very soon.

I couldn't leave without sharing another card with you today, inspired by one I saw on Pinterest

I know I say it a lot, but I really do love Stampin' Up!, the colours, the quality, the images, and this stamp set is no exception

Sprinkles of Life is a fabulous set and £2.00 from every purchase is donated by Stampin' Up! to our local Ronald Macdonald House Charities.

It's also great that we have a matching punch called the "Tree Builder" to make things easier for us.

I've created a Cupcake and you can see that the "frosting" image doubles up as a cloud, making it really versatile.

The "Happy Birthday" greeting stamp is from the same set, there are several other greetings too.

I used the "Gorgeous Grunge" stamps to add some interest to the background and die cut a frame using the Deco Labels framelits dies.

The flowers were punched using the Petite Petals punch centred with an adhesive Pearl embellishment

Hope to see you back very soon!

Just for You as "Your'e So Sweet"!

Today's card uses a few new products, have to say I am totally in love with the new In Colour

Mint Macaron

The stamps I've used here are from a set called

"Your'e So Sweet"

It's great that they also co-ordinate with the Mini Treat Bag Die Framelits set

and you can buy them as a bundle too

So back to my card

I've teamed Mint Macaron with Pink Pirouette and really like the combo, especially with a little glimmer thrown in!

 I used the new

"Banner Punch" on the Pink Pirouette and Vellum layers, I love how you can punch banners, flag ends, fish tails, however you prefer to call them, in 3 different sizes!

I layered my "Just for You" banner on top of Silver Glimmer Paper and the thin twine behind is pulled from a length of the White Jute Ribbon, love this idea!

After a busy day at a class, preparation for tomorrows class and a lovely evening dog walk I'm feeling shattered and it's only 9.15pm, thinking an early night is needed here!

Catch up with you very soon with more new card ideas to share

Roomie Gifts for Convention

Each year when we go to Convention, we agree to make "Roomie Gifts", usually for the person you are sharing with but as there were only 6 of us we decided it would be nice to make something for each one of us.

So here is my gift, a bag charm.

I stamped onto wooden painted hearts with Black Stazon Ink using the Postage Due and Gorgeous Grunge Stamps

I stamped Petite Petals flowers on to the Typeset Designer Paper, covered with Crystal effects and allowed to dry overnight.  Once dry I punched them out with the Petite Petals Punch then added a Rhinestone to the centre and attached to the heart.

I purchased the Monograms and Droplets from my daughter Sophie who is a South Hill Designs Artist, then attached them to the heart adding a Silver 1/8th Bow and jump rings and a lobster clasp for attaching to it's final destination!

I love how we can use Stampin' Up! products for so many different creations, not just cards but for gifts and home décor too.  The possibilities really are endless!

World of Dreams is so tweet!

I am really drawn to this stamp set "World of Dreams", it is so lovely, especially this image of the birds in the nest rested on the branch!

I've coloured in the image using my Stampin' Markers, I colour directly onto my rubber stamp then give a good "huff" and stamp it down to reveal a multi coloured image.  I used my Oval framelits to cut it out and daubed around the edge to give a vintage feel.

Don't you just love the new Venetian Crochet ribbon?

Here's a closer look!

I've used another stamp set here called "Beautiful Bunch", a really nice set that has a matching punch called the "Fun Flower".  It also has a small flower that works with the Petite Petals punch.  Here I stamped both flowers using the gorgeous new In Colour "Lost Lagoon".

Butterflies and Flowers......

...... are valuable images to have as they are just so versatile.  Butterflies are also great for hiding little mistakes too!

Here I've used the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set which has two different sizes of Butterflies in a variety of designs and the great news is that we have 2 co-ordinating punches, the Elegant Butterfly and the Bitty Butterfly.

My colour combo is

Whisper White
Crumb Cake
Coastal Cabana

You may notice that the embossing folder used for the centre of the Labels Framelits has now sadly retired but this can be substituted with any other folder.

I have used the Naturals White Cardstock, it has a rough finish with "sawdust" pieces in and it's great for card bases as it's a good weight.  It's amazing value at just £6.75 for 40 sheets!

I also used one of my favourite sets, Petite Petals along with it's co-ordinating Punch.  I just can't get enough of this set, I'm finding it really hard to put down.  Adhesive Basic pearls adorn the centres of the flowers.

The "hello" banner is from the "Perfect Pennants" stamp set, cut using the co-ordinating Banner Framelits Dies.

I used one of the Needlepoint embossing folders to create the lovely embossed border at the bottom of the card.

Vivid Vases

Today I am sharing a recent class project using the gorgeous stamp "Vivid Vases" which you can find in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

It's a single wood mount stamp, great for colouring and masking too so you could mask out one or more of the vases for a smaller image.

Here I've used watercolour paper to stamp my image onto and I used Stazon ink to stop any bleeding when watercolouring with the Aqua Painters.  I picked up ink from the lids of the ink pads, just squeeze them when closed to get a residue inside that you can paint with.

I've used the new Scallop Embossing Folder on my Blushing Bride layer which is lovely, then the amazing Petite Petals Punch to create a simple flower from Very Vanilla cardstock with an Itty Bitty Flower punched in the centre.

Would you like to own this stamp for yourself and try out some watercolouring, it's fun, easy and very effective.  Book a party and see the technique in action and as a Hostess you can earn Stampin' Up! products for FREE.  Place an order with me online and have it delivered to your door via a tracked service.
